Photographer’s Note

Hello to my TE friends,
Sharing with you another coastal evening scenery from the resort area of Whangapoura, down at Coromandel from the last summer!
will take about 3 to 4 hours drive from Auckland and to arrive this beautiful coast, will be good in the summer months!
Hope you can enjoy the peaceful moment along the coast and enjoy the breeze as well!

once again you captured an amazing atmosphere at the beach. The clouds sailing along the horizon and the lines of the waves are wonderful. The overall impression is like a painting.

I find this composition very delicate and intimate, of the kind which can be appreciated (probabily) only by a sensitive eye and mind. It's very different from all the others from you that I have seen, yet there is the sense of space we ususally find in your photos. I should say it's a discrete sunset (not like those red ones so self-evident and self-assuming) for discrete people. I like the black silhuette of the hill and I like very much the two people with their dogs. It's a picture to be discovered and that leaves us with this twilight intimate atmosphere.

Now a different mood in your photograph, a bit of rain, dark clouds, end of the day, silhouettes of hills and trees, some people enjoying the beach, small waves... a very pleasant view!

This is a different mood with dimmer light and softer contrast. You have nicely included the dogs and owners taking a stroll. 4 hrs is a long drive but I believe you have explored most of the beaches in NZ. Nice diagonal of composition.

I like much the effect of the weak light, the silhouettes of the people with his dogs in the beach, the sheen of the wet sand, the cloudy sky and the waves that die in the beach.

Hey Ton,

Love it, the dim lighting and the people give off a certain effect that plays nicely with me. The silhouettes of the forest in the background are aice addition. So are the hills and the nice cyan that punches through the clouds.

Jokes aside, I can see the light is changing now making the colours appear more muted...
Another fine beachside composition, the water shimmering in the backlight is very nice!

There is nothing a dog enjoys more than a joyfull romp along the beach and running in and out of the surf.
Great evening colors with the silver blue sky reflecting in the retreating surf. Lovely soft lazy colors with beautiful subtle details.

Not the normal colours we see for a sunset but very effective & pleasing to the eye. The people walking the dogs along the beach always looks good & here is no exception.
