[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot was taken at Nelson Lakes Park (established in 1956) which is situated in the north of New Zealand's South Island. This park protects 102,000 hectares of the northern most Southern Alps. The park offers tranquil beech forest, craggy mountains, clear streams and lakes both big and small.
Location
The gateway to the park is St Arnaud, a 1-2 hour drive from Nelson or Blenheim.

Lee 0.6 grad (Soft) filter was used to darken the sky a bit.

Have a nice day all, guys.
Cheers, R.

Hi!
A peaceful nice composition, very symmetric shot.
Everything is in the perfect position here.

This is an amazing capture. You have wonderful perspective here and a strange, even a bit ominous mood. I love this one! Congratulations!

Peaceful and poetic shot..
Despite on bad weather, this composition is perfect. Well done Radim, i like this shot.

daniel

great shot and editing i love it, makes me want to go there

Hello, Radim -

Definitely makes the best of a bad weather scene! I do feel that the dock and the person's shirt are a little too bright for the setting, though. With those clouds you would expect them to be more dim.

A great composition, though, with the centered dock offset by the cut in the distant mountains.

Regards,
Dan

Very nice! Excellent use of lines and the the light on the foregroud dock really pulls you in to the image.

Hi Radim. Excellent photo. I love the way you have composed this shot giving good perspective and depth. That dark sky is very dramatic also. Well captured and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

hi radim,
excellent use of cinverging lines to build the "tension" in this pretty static yet atractive image...well, it's supposed to be static is we talk about peaceful relaxation, isn't it?...:-))
well done,
best wishes, jerzy

Hi Radim,

this pic is really full of peace....I wish I were there...just for some calm and silent relax!
no noise, no hurry..just nature!

ciao
Silvio

Hi Radim,
It's been a long time since i have seen you around here, hope everything is well and that you keep on postings your marbles from down under.
This strong composition shot is very clever composed, but also a perfect setup with the boardwalk and the person at the end of it. The bright foreground and the darker sky (thanks to the Lee) gives you a nice deep contrast.
Great depth, perfect perspective....as usual very good work from your hand.
Regards, Henk

Peaceful? Hmm. Personally I find it more moody and a little disturbing. Like, I hope he/she doesn't decide to just slide into the lake... but maybe it is my mood. Good photo though. Regards Paul.

Perfectly composed ! Very artistic ! 5 kiwis *****

Ahojky Radime, moc rada vidim, that you post a new shot here on TE. Moc hezka fotka plna atmosfery samoty a vzdalenych myslenek. Je moc dobre, ze jsi included person into the shot as it adds additional element to it. All the best. Lucie

Hi Radim
Nice to see you back on TE.
Despite not having perfect weather, you've managed to make the best of the light to create an excellent contrast between the jetty and the lake and clouds. The symmetrical framing works really well. The foreground is nice and sharp and the inclusion of the person adds depth.
Regards
Nikki
