Hi Renier,
Beautiful intricate cloud patterns to gather the wonderful complimentary gold and blue colors. I must say I have never taken a picture of a sunset from my yard while BBQ during the Christmas holidays. Tonights temp will be around -5F.

Hi Renier,
what a great sky. The colours and the unusual clouds together create some natural art (even art stands for artificial). Good light management and a nice line of trees as the ground silhouette. These UFO like clouds on the border of colours are are the right position.

This is really a spectacular sky, one we all might wish in a fantastic landscape. Your low horizon is excellent choosen, the small line of trees was just enough to show this wonderful cloud formation in a beautiful colour toning...well done, looks impressive.

Interesting combination of shapes and colors. Very pretty and unusual. Your composition is superb, leaving a narrow strip of land in the foreground. One suggestion would be to completely darken the bottom so that the roofs, antennas, etc. would not be identifiable. Best wishes for 2008!

Hi Renier,
I agree with you about the clouds being a much underrated subjects, although sometimes they are a very convenient one, as we can get great photos just stopping the car for a while or going to the window.
Seeing beautiful skies isn't so rare when there are clouds and some sun, but I had never seen a compo made by nature like this one. Well, nature surely did help, but the merit is also yours, that took profit of the conditions to produce this amazing photo.
The sunrise is also interesting, but it lacks much of the visual punch of the main pots.

You're right, clouds play a great role in nature's beauty... here another proof of it! Big dynamic sky, nicely tinged in these soft colors, the silhouetted treeline frames well the bottom part... Nice place to sit and eat BBQ!
