Photographer’s Note

This is the next picture from the Waimangu Valley (introduction to Waimangu Valley here).
This lake was formed on 1st April 1917 as a result of violent eruption of the western basin of the neighbour Echo Crater. The lake covers 38 000 square meters, being the world's largest hot spring, with an average depths of six metres. The average lake temperature is about 55 C.
The rocks on the right are named Cathedral Rocks.
