Photographer’s Note
A Jubilee Clock is a term used in reference to a number of clocks constructed and erected throughout the British Empire in commemoration of the Golden or Diamond Jubilee of various British monarchy.
This is Christchurch's Diamond Jubilee Clock Tower built to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Queen Victoria. It is made of volcanic stone and limestone with ornate wrought iron work with coloured glass around part of the tower with four faces. The tower also has two white marble plaques and one bronze plaque set on stone work above arches.

Hi Renier,
clock tower of Pisa? The architecture is very interesting and you captureed the details very good. The diagonal composition gives additional attraction and helps with that white area of the sky.

Hello Renier,
I like the unorthodox angle of view you have selected here; it helps emphasise the height of this magnificent example of Victorian civic architecture. Superb detail and tones and very good clarity.

Hi Renier,
A good POV and diagonal framing of this Jubilee clock tower.. fine sharpness of details, and reasonable colors due to difficult light, that also resulted in burning the lower left side...
An interesting angle though!

Quite a clock and quite a perspective, Renier. It almost makes one dizzy to look at :) Seriously, good choice of POV and good way to show your subject. Exposure looks tough on the left, but you've kept your detail reasonably sharp, especially in the clock area. Not a bad idea to show it this way when it could have been tougher to do had you tried to show more of the building.

Original viewpoint Renier. It's surprising how the sky on each side is completely different as if you intended that by composing this way. The ornate architecture shows up well.

Hi Renier, I like the unusual use of angling the composition, you have kept the detail & the beauty of the clock, as well as creating extra interest, it's a shame the sky to the left is overexposed, however I like your ingenuity, kind regards Wilson.

A fine picture, where the tilt works very well to show us the elegant architecture & also fitting the clock tower into the frame. Interesting is the gradation of the sky colour from blue to white across the frame. Good work!
