Yes...the famous, the popular (the only sound in NZ accessible by car...), the most photographed (I personally have a NatGeo book and a NZ map with Mitre Peak on their cover...). Not sure if my picture is something new, but I do like it.
Unsurprisingly it was cloudy and foggy and a bit rainy..according to www.newzealandnz.co.nz the annual rain deluge is around 7000mm...
The funniest thing on this shout that the peak itself can't be seen...it's somewhere there in the clouds. I may have to get back there to take another shot :)

Great shot, Szabolcs. I like the composition with the trees on the right and the mountains in the distance.

Merci de nous faire voir un si bel endroit. Moi qui adore les rochers, je serais au Paradis. Excellente prise de vue et bonne composition. Le mauvais temps donne souvent de bels effets.
Félicitations!... et merci de partager,

Hi Szabolcs. Marvellous primeval look of the place. Rugged and unspoiled. Very good PoV that allows a closer glimpse at the vegetation and also provides a dramatic contrast in shade and light. Well done. Regards. Klaudio.

So you have been to NZ Szabolcs. This is one of the most popular places in NZ to be photographed. And it does look good on this dull grey day. Well done
