Mitre Peak, a photo from Fiordland, South Island

Photographer's Note

Yes...the famous, the popular (the only sound in NZ accessible by car...), the most photographed (I personally have a NatGeo book and a NZ map with Mitre Peak on their cover...). Not sure if my picture is something new, but I do like it.
Unsurprisingly it was cloudy and foggy and a bit rainy..according to www.newzealandnz.co.nz the annual rain deluge is around 7000mm...
The funniest thing on this shout that the peak itself can't be seen...it's somewhere there in the clouds. I may have to get back there to take another shot :)

Great shot, Szabolcs. I like the composition with the trees on the right and the mountains in the distance.
