Photographer’s Note
On the south coast of New Zealand's South Island is an area called The Catlins.
The Catlins is a rugged, sparsely populated area, noted for its scenic coastal landscape and its dense temperate rainforest, both of which are home to many endangered species of birds. Its exposed location leads to its frequently wild weather and heavy ocean swells, which are an attraction to big-wave surfers.
The shape of these trees is a typical sight at the coast of Catlins and it's caused by the strong winds coming from the sea and the salt from the water.

Hi Christian,
Wow! Amazing trees really. Before reading your notes I was not really sure what was that so perhaps the closer look would work well here, too. Nevertheless I like your composition with plenty of blue colour, some green and the strange structure placed in between.
