That's a really cool shot. It reminds me of another one here on TE by Jeppe. He rotated it 180 degrees to give an even greater feeling of vertigo. I'll try a WS.
PS I just noticed you haven't enabled workshop, so sorry can't do it. Will check later if you change your mind.

Bonjour Brendan,
je pensais que tu l'avais faite en best-jump, l'effet est saisissant.
je ne sais pas si je me risquerais à marcher la dessus.
prise tres originale.

Good shot! I find the feet really make this shot work for me, without them it just wouldn't have the same impact. There's a glass floor in the CN Tower in Toronto too :) I think I'd consider doing a little selective brightening of your legs/feet so that they match the background a little more, and maybe saving a larger image with less compression - just to enhance the feeling of vertigo. I must admit this is one of the few images I've seen which make me feel vertiginous, well done :-D

I remember doing this when I was at exactly the same spot....sacry experience! My kids did not much enjoy being placed upon that glass whilst I wedged them down with my foot!
Nice one Brendan,

What a crazy photo! They have the same sort of thing in Toronto, Canada at the top of the CN tower (one of the tallest in the world). Good idea to keep your feet in the photo for perspective.

This is really cool. We have just went to a tower in Chicago and we were thinking that it would be much better if they did the bottom in glass and wondered wheteher there is any in the world. Here it is! Thanks for sharing. It is really great.

Brilliant shot, Brendan. A very original composition. The fact that your feet are well above a 'road', makes it quite different from other shots that are just taken over the side of a building. Quite unbelievable. Well done.

Hello Brendan,
I was there once! Was actually jumping on the glass until my parents told me to stop..haha...Scared the hell out of 'em. Well I was there at night time and probably wouldn't actually do the jumping if I was there daytime...ya know at night you can't actually see the bottom clearly. But I have never thought of taking a picture like this. Very original idea! Great capture.

Hey Brendan,
Oh Man! SOV! (Scary) I'm used to heights but recently it freaks me out! I did try walking through this similar fiber-glass floor (Macau Tower)and just looked straight ahead but I said: well what the heck, then I stared down...I froze and my friends took a picture of my scared stiff face! It was scary but fun though. What makes your image scarier is you are right in the middle of the floor! (good composition) Can't look any longer ;/

Amusing! I went to CN tower in Toronto and did the same. It was rather scary, but I was glad I did this. Only men were standing there at that time. The pieces of glass floor are so much smaller there. I could not even take a photo, ...or maybe I didn't feel like?.. TFS, a great view. Irina

yeah I have the same picture =)
funny thing, some people wouldn't dare stepping on it, but we were jumping up and down the glass, to great disbelief of others watching..
Hello Brendan,
There is an unusual eerie feeling about this photo, even though this is a decent shot, I think you could have pushed the camera a bit close to the glass to avoid getting the extent of your shoes and legs that you got.

Hello Brendan,
Please do not take this critique as an attempt to ‘steal your thunder’ or divert the limelight, but would like to mention a few things. I think you are an excellent photographer and an asset to this gallery. However….
….I have taken this shot myself, minus the shoes (which I included in other shots), and have uploaded it on TE. I found the clarity and colour to be of a high standard, and humbly believe that in my photograph I provided a better angle. While this photo of mine was commented on by 6 people, 77 have commented yours! I am at all not jealous of the attention your shot has received, it deserves it. But it makes me wonder what is ‘wrong’ with mine?
The only thing I can attribute this difference in popularity to is the fact that you have critiqued many more images than I have and as a result have benefited from many reciprocal critiques?
I apologize for venting my spleen and having a moan, but the differences are surprisingly vast between both of our good photographs. What do you think? I will post my view as a workshop.
Thanks for this shot, credit duly deserved.
Matt

Hi Brendan,
I am glad you took this photograph, because I would never have seen it from this perspective. I am one of the older people and now I can also enjoy the view without the vertigo.
Although, if I stare at it long enough it feels as if the ground is pulling at me....showing your feet and legs makes it real......well seen and photographed.
best wishes,
kessi
Hehe, I did the same on the CN tower in Toronto... But, why low resolution?
