Photographer’s Note

Milford Sound, in the far southend of New Zeland, ... the fjiordland of this country.

It's far, it's a long way to go, so don't do as most people in a tour : A long bus way to go, ... 1h30 of boat trip, ... and a long bus way to go back !

Of course, it's pretty impressive but that's why you should stay in one of the few accommodations (we where under a tent and under the rain of course) to make a few walkings around, to see it at the sunset and at the sunrise, ...

The main peak on the picture is called Mitre Peak, ...

this is a great view. i like the depth of the scenery, those mountains are great with the clouds around them. a few bright spots but that's very small. well done.

Wow - looks like you got an uncommonly beautiful day at Milford Sound (which they say is also stunning in the rain). Well captured - it is an amazing place and you've represented it well. Thanks for sharing.

Stunning! The low clouds and the depth of color values as they fade into the distance make the capture a "lucky" one as you say. You have the desired landscape qualities of fore-mid- and background nicely done.
