This was taken with an old pocket Kodak 110mm camera in 1981. I've been experimenting with dust removal, & figured out you go into APS "filter", "noise", "dust & scratches". It's also been sharpened. Looks much better than the original. I'll use this feature in future posts.

Very nice landscape Chris. I like the wide format you used here. The way you decided to cropyour image is also interesting and well adapted to this type of shot. Nice.

This is interesting Chris - it's come up pretty well after 23 years! Very nice light and good composition. Looks like a lovely place.

What a nice picture, land water land water.
Good picture indeed, but a bit grainy, I guess it is the shrinking of the pic that causes this.
However, I think you should have clovered more of the land above.
Thanks for sharing

Nice landscape shot Chris. I'm even more impressed when I read your note which says you took it in 1981. It's almost as old as me... :)
I really like it. Well done!

I like the way you composed this picture. Your PS work is something that I can learn from. The camera doesn't matter. The eyes behind it is what matter. And you certainly have a good pair. Congratulations.

Nice balance to the composition with the three fingers of land. the cloud reflections are pleasing. Still a fair bit of noise but a good shot.

Hi Chris - Nice shot and the light makes some nice colors in the water. It does look very grainy and noisey, which is why I didn't give it a full smiley face. Sharpening will increase the grainness in areas that shouldn't be sharpened, such as the water. There is software that can help with this, and of course the quality of the scanner makes a difference. - Alan

Thank you for the suggestion on cropping off the roof edge in my waterfall shot.
24 years old photo and current state of digital darkroom.Just wondering the advances we might be looking at 24 years from now to improve or enhance, digital photos of today.
Idyllic, rustic and you feel the peacefulness in the woodlands of the two promontories. And your sharpening is good enough without edge pixellation.
Cropping wise,it looks pretty balanced to me. Cropping off something, you sometimes need to crop another thing to balance it.

Superb photo. I like pictures taken from the sky.
Is it from a plane or top of a mountain?

Very good scan! I love wide-angle landscape photos and this one is wonderful. The place looks so nice from up high...

Very beautiful landscape Chris !
The colours are very good, a little of grain, but no problem.

It's always nice to take a look to the earlier contributions of TE people. We can find some very interesting shots as this one with these successive peninsulae... It's amazing to see that you took this one with an amateur camera of the early 80s and you scanned and post-processed it to present it in TE in 2004 ! Great destiny for a nice pictur...

Gosto desse angulo, bem interessante e informativo. As reflexões e as cores dão mais força a imagem. Otimo trabalho.
