wai-o-tapu is one of the best known thermal parks in the Rotorua are. A bit of sunshine on the Artist Palette, against an very threatening sky, makes for nice contrast. The people add dimension to the image.

Honnestly: just a perfect shot! Congrats.

Nice shoot. Beautiful colours. Well done.

hi
It's very good shot. Nice photo.
Take care
Anna

Awesome colors with a great sky! I love the steam coming off the water. It would have been nice to get a wider view... Still great though, and thanks for sharing,

Jas

Artist Palatte is a good name for this place! The bright colours and steam rising makes for a very attention getting subject, expecially with those dark clouds behind. Great work!

Arnoud
Your NZ pictures are very inspiring and show excellent photographic skills both technically and in composition and framing. This image is no exception. TFS

Hi Arnoud,
Interesting and very aesthetic object, greatly captured. Superb colors. Well composed. Superb shot.

Ben Lakitan

nice contrast between the sky and the pool. i've found that shooting the mudpools in overcast weather is very difficult. well done

Hi,
Nice place, the colors are pretty. But that waters are for bath? Because that color water and the smoke don't look so. Did you know the pemperature of it?

thanks
Andre

Hi Arnoud. You certainly have a contrast between the grey sky and the colourful pools. The foreground foliage is a good inclusion and adds depth also. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Ah yes, Wai-o-tapu a really interesting place to visit. A strange place to visit but well worth I think. You've managed the colours here perfectly. Good sharpness too Arnoud. Well done,
Janice

Bonjour Arnoud,

Prima werk...!!
Fijn weekend, Henk

Sunchines combined with dark clouded sky are often touching me: with such a coloured curiousity, the picture is great in terms of colour.

Personnaly, I would have preferred to look at a square (or even horizontal, even if no panoramic) view but I can understand that you preferred using the full wide angle you had. Still, did you try a square crop (dropping the plants in the foreground)? The eyes would then be rather focused on the figures on the pictures which give a pretty good idea of the hugeness of the situation.

Ce bizarre ..!!!

wonderful..where the steams come from ???... those orange color?
