Dear tim,
Excellent utilisation of natural curve I must say. Was it cloudy at that time? I doubt so.
Tha curvatures provide a perspective and at the same time provides sufficient space to pack other elements.
Nice compo
Best wishes,
Dr. Bhunia

Hi Tim, welcome to TrekEarth.
Bethels beach is a great place to take photos. This is a super scene, well composed, and presented.
But your camera is very tilted to the left. I have done a workshop for you to correct the tilt. I hope you like it. Click on "WORKSHOP" next to "Original version".
Most of us started off like you, and if you need to know anything, just ask questions.
Kia ora

Hi Tim,
Welcome to TE. This seems like a wonderful place, perhaps free from the crowd. The composition is good with the pleasant reflections in the almost still water. The picture could have been further sharpened and modified in Photoshop. These are some of the things you would learn as go along the learning curve on TE.
With Greetings from India
