bonjour Arnoud, en effet la présence de cet arbre est surprenante, mais part contre il fait un excellent premier plan, magnifique cette exposition ou l’arbre en question est encore bien visible, et n’apparaît pas en ombre chinoise comme c’est souvent le cas pour ce genre d’image, la tienne d’image est super bien construite, ou la surface de l’eau prend des teintes qui font merveille avec la réverbération de ce ciel ou le philtre polarisant fonction à son maximum d’efficacité, très bon travaille bravo, bien amicalement

Simply beautiful!
The colors are surreal and rich, with that wonderfully dark shape of a tree hanging around in the soft water.
A truly lovely shot!
I particularly love the way the white mountain tops severly contrast with the black tips of the tree. Truly a lovely catch and amazing glimpse into a gorgeous landscape :D

There's a huge sense if scale to this shot arnoud. The deep saturation and lower levels of light have worked well to. The tree in the foreground creates a nice focal point

Arnoud,
This is a very beautifull shot. The exposure is perfect, without loss of details in the clouds' whites and a full black for the foreground tree. Personnaly, I would have cropped a bit tighter to the left (personnal preference, of course...)

Hallo Arnoud,
De lucht lijkt ingeplakt, zo mooi diep van tint en kleur, bijna onwezelijk. Werkelijk schitterend die combinatie tussen lucht, bergeketen en meer.
Enige wat jammer is dat er geen licht op het boompje schijnt, was vol inflitsen een optie geweest?
Verder een prachtige opname..!!!

Chaque plan est bien vu ! Les couleurs du ciel sont magnifiques, la montagne qui baigne dans la lumière ressort bien, et ce bel arbre immergé dans l'eau est absolument surprenant. Magnifique compo !

You've made the most of this magnificent landscape and produced a truly majestic image. The light and colours are fantastic, and that sky is really beautiful.
I think if you had moved a bit to the right and included a bit more of that hillside bathed in that golden light, and had the tree further to the left of the frame, the composition would have been stronger. While that sky is indeed fantastic, maybe you could have included a bit less of it and included the tree's reflection in the frame.
I'm obviously being ultra picky here but I think these points would improve what is already a really excellent landscape photograph.

I am a bit surpsrised....for two reasons.
1) The photo is damn good, excellent pov and nice contrast
2) for 1/50 is is too dark if you consider f5.6

Anyway, an excellent photo.

I so wish I'd have had more time to photograph Lake Wanaka. we were a big group and only had time for a short photo session from the main road as we had a destination with Bungy Jumping.
I especially like how the hill on the right is beautifully lit. The textures are stunning. The sky is so dynamic. So weird having the tree surrounded by water.

This tree is getting famous in TE. Which is just fine. Background view is absolutely stunning. You were there exactly on right time showing warm colours before sunset.
