| Okay, here's a really sweet photograph I took whilst working at a backpackers in New Zealand. Its a baby weka. The weka is a wild, rather shy hen-like bird that inhabits the bush. Or rather, they hide in the bush and when food comes out, sneak out and gobble it up. An old boyfriend once fed one peppermint roses chocolates, 'because I don't like them'. Shame on him!!! Anyway, at this particular time, there were about three babies, all swaggering around the main entrance, completely oblivious to the risk of being squashed by an errant car tyre. Oh, and they make the cutest noises, and as you can see, are all feet. |

Hi Fiona,
A very charming image indeed!
Your little feathered friend looks a tad clumsy, just like a kid trying daddy's shoes!
I like the way you contrast to the tyre, giving drama to the situation...
Well composed, good natural colours and nice details!
Greetings,
Pablo -
