Photographer’s Note
This view captures a classic Canterbury landscape, with the sheep farm in the foreground and the snow-capped Southern Alps in the background. It is looking toward the Two Thumb Range, from east of Fairlie. I liked the patterns of shadow and sun in the farmland, contrasting with the white mountains.
Scanned from a slide. Polarising filter used to darken the snow and make the clouds stand out.
