These giant marbels are located at Moeraki. They have a story. Once upon a time, a canoewas wrecked near Shag Point while it's on a voyage in search of the invaluable green stone. The baskets scattered around this place and became the amazing round boulders.

This is an amazing beach which I think should be a must for every tourist visting NZ.

To clodreno: thanks very much for your workshop. Yes, I have thought of cropping it, but the quality of scanning was a bit disappointing that after cropping, the noise is unacceptable. All of my NZ pics were scanned by my local print shop. Cheap but substandard quality. And because of this unhappy experience, I changed to another one this year.

Great shot. I wish you would have been closer.. May be a little crop.

Well, I really jalous because with my boyfriend we would like to go there when we were to NZ, but we haven't time enough. Very well done !

Great repetition in those amazing rocks – and in gulls, too. Beautiful soft tones and nice atmosphere.
I like very much what clodreno did in his WS.

Very nice composition. Soft colors. The gulls add to the picture. The horizon is a little bit tilted though.
Workshop is great too.

Really nice composition and great idea. Little bit defocused.

very good composition

Very strange rocks. Good picture.

Well considering, this beach is really strange (I know it thanks to the site TE) the originality comes from the 2 birds, it is well made.

If I'm not mistaken these are (or were) living rocks. I once saw a documentary describing these rocks and it seems that a very primitive life form is creating these rocks... They are seen as living fosiles... And it is the only place where they can be found think...

These strange rocks certainly are worth a photo and you did very well in showing them from this viewpoint with a gull standing on each of them.
