Something a little different today to celebrate my 100th post and my 25th photographed country. There's plenty more to come!
This scary guy is a Maori and was a performer at a traditional concert. It was held in the "Maori Village" at Te Whakarewarewa. His facial expression is that used to scare off the enemy. |

Hi Jonathan,
Pretty scary indeed :). This is a situation where the flash does a good job (in general I'm opposed to using flash), it definitely makes him more scary. I like how his teeth and eyes are totally white.
Btw, what's that hanging around his neck?

Good composition here and the subject is interesting to say the least. I also agree about the flash, as if he is sweating therefore looking more mad. Thanks for sharing..
