A snap of a friendly musician at Otaro markets, South Auckland. South Auckland area is a centre of Maori and Polynesian culture in Auckland.
These markets bustle like real local markets, and have more atmosphere, than say some farmers markets, it's a great way to see this part of the local culture and if ever visiting Auckland, I recommend a visit to Otaro markets.
The area is a mix of Maori, Samoan and Tongan people, and the area has many interesting eateries and characters.

We're both posting musician shots here, Justin - I like this one, up close and detailed, as these two guys react to your camera. Good B&W conversion with deep contrast and a real 'street reporting' feel to it. Thanks!

heheheh this photo got my mum talking about her talking about her hey days of the 50s and 60s where she used to go and see a band called the Maori High Five. What a great scene, almost like something out of Once Were Warriors - The Musical :) Nice range of tones, good cropping and sharpness. A good double portrait, thanks for sharing.
have a great weekend

A nice snap of a musician;
... great background ... I mean the grein - I love such roughness. It reminds me old analog photographs ;-)
