A photo of the sun setting on the Remarkables, which is located near Queenstown.
The Remarkables were formed by a once glacier (now Lake Wakatipu) carving the land then hitting a stubborn piece of rock and forced to take a 90 degree turn. The result, creating one of the best views for a pint at the pub and a few sunset photos.

Magnificent photo Brendan. The colors are amazing. I love the clouds just sitting on top of the peaks but still being able to pull out the blue of the water and deep green of the trees. Its like the photo has the entire color palate. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice capture Brendan! Indeed it is remarkable, the colors and the dept. Looks like you may have used some graduated filter to highlight the sky?

Superb shot. I particularly like how the blueness of the water provides contrast to the warmth in the rest of the scene.

I love the QUAD-band of colors in this photo, it's perfect. Great job with colors of the lake, as well as the strange sky. Very nice.

I understand now why many people dream about Australia and New Zealand, this is not only about rugby !

Remarkable light indeed. Most of the time these filters produce artificial looking photos, but the shadow cast by a cloud separates the top part, therefore colours look more natural.

Another great shot. You've done a great job with the PP work, the colors are great without being "over-the-top". I like the layering effect in the photo...
