Photographer’s Note

This was taken on the same beautifully clear day as the picture of Lake Pukakai. Again, the blue sky and water just look beautiful.

I had waited for about 15mins for there to be no other tourists in the shot but it just wouldn't happen! I tried cropping them out but the picture just didn't have the same shape and composition.

Nice scenery with the lake, the mountains and the church.
I would prefer not seeing the road and more the nice landscape.

Posting a picture of a church seems at odds with the last 3 characters of your username... The thing I like about this (other than the scenery) is the lighting

This is a really beautiful shot of this well-known scene. I first visited it in about 1972, and then in 1996 - I was horrified by the commercialization evident around it, which you have managed to avoid through careful selection of your viewpoint. The colors are beautiful, andvery accurate, in my recollection.

Very beautiful composition. The *snowy* mountains in the backdrop together with the green grass and well illuminated lake gives it a bit of a surreal shade. Suggestion: increase color saturation to emphasize the sky's blue.

I agree... a little saturation would make the image more vibrant. Plus a slight adjustment to the horizon level.

And remember, Photoshop is a beautiful thing - the Spot Healing brush or Clone Stamp tool makes removing those pesky unwanted tourists from your photo a piece of cake! :o)

Love those mountains in the background!

Gorgeous landscape, great exposure and composition, with the lines radiating out from the church. Normally I wouldn't put the subject so central, but this one works very well! Wish I were there!
