Photographer’s Note
I took this from Christchurch's Pier around 8pm on Boxing Day evening. The day had turned out to be very pleasant, and that evening the light was excellent for photos.
Around the pier there are usually a few surfers and consistent waves. This guy unfortunately was on his way down after riding a good wave!

Great dynamic shot! The water is so sharp! Love the dark and lighter parts in the pic. When I see this I wanna surf again.
