Deep blue Autumn, a photo from Otago, South Island

Photographer's Note

Twizel is situated between between Lake Pukaki and Omarama,
Otago South Island. One of the best drives during the height of the fall
in New Zealand. Dams have been built here to mange the overflows of Lake Pukaki and other surrounding glacier lakes in the region.
Be prepared for barren land due to the droughts in summer/autumn but the ponds, dams and lakes will show the fall beautifully.

Hello Jim,

Quelle série tu nous offre avec ces couleurs d'automne si chaude,encore des reflets superbes et un ciel extra avec quelques nuages qui vont bien,juste dommage pour les pylônes éléctrique mais on ne va pas les couper pour une photo ;o)

Hi Jim,
It's great to see you posting again after some time. As we march into spring and summer, your are going the opposit way, which is agreat so we always get to see images of all season all the time. You have manage the color and clarity so well, it look HD, the colors so brilliant yet natural with just enough saturation to make it pop but not burnt, like some many amature tried to over compensate. the clouds always add to the dramma of the composition. You have certainly getting better and improving all the time. Great job.

I hope the word masterpiece shot is not an exaggeration, but honestly it is. How excellent the shot. If it is me, i would be dreaming it for week seeing nothing but this shot.
The colours are splendid and the refection is so wonderful. Very briliant sharpness, and intense colours.
the dramatic blue sky is very well contrast with the golden view of the trees.
