Photographer’s Note
I have posted several pictures of Rotorua and its' surrounding areas. Suffice it to say that I was really taken by the beauty of this part of the country.
Here is a photo of Lake Tarawera. Nearby this beautiful lake is Te Wairoa, a maori settlement which was burried by a volcanic erruption in 1886. Now the village has been excavated, guided tours are lead by descendants of those living in the village before the erruption.
Enjoy the photo.
It is very much like the orriginal, with some croping, a slight level and USM.
Please take the time to let me know what you think, as your critiques help me to improve my photography.

Hi Michael.
Nice landscape :-)
I think you've probably done as best you can given the lighting at the time.
It seems to me to capture a truly excellent landscape requires the lighting conditions to be just right - and this is outside the control of the photographer, to a large extent (i.e. you have to keep going back to the location to find the best lighting conditions); early morning and 1hr before sunset are often good times.
