Piha with the Lion Rock# Photo

Photographer’s Note

Hello to all my TE friends,
I had my last two postings which looked at Piha from the north, one from the high ground which see the mountain on the right in this shot, and the other one which was on the beach front!
Now you are looking at it from the south on the highground where the road leading toward the sea front area! a favorite spot for tourist to stop over to enjoy or capture this great scene before he actually arrive the place down below!
Hopefully you like the view as well, and thank you for your time!

You really out did yourself on this shot, Just amazing view so relaxing to look at. Great contrast and POV. The clarity and lighting is perfect. Great wave action hitting the beach and you can see for miles over a beautiful ocean. Lovely green vegetation, Great job Tony.

Hello Tony ,
It is an unusual view from you , here . Great nature , of course , but some buildings and cars , too . The place is beautiful , however , with spectacular rocks . I like a lot the soft light and the effect of the waves on the sandy beach .

Hello Tony,

the view from above is really good but I didn't suspected the place was inhabited. From you previous photo I gathered the idea that it was a wild spot. There is a fine light and colours and a great sense of perspective. Fine and interesting.

Sabaidie Tony,
While the light is not really sunny and bright, therefore the image itself is not really in strong contrast, but it give a more even tone and more details overall. I enjoy the large view and the impression of the whole area really shown through here. Well composed with the rock in the right place. Really nice and pleasant, I detect a little bit of noise but not bad. Thanks

Such a breathtakingly beautiful wide view! Colors and clarity are excellent. The buildings in the foreground add perspective and interest too. The beach are appears very peaceful from your POV. However, judging from the amount of white, the waves might be quite large. Great photography!

Ciao Tony, Nice lookout spot, the view is fantastic, I didn't realise how big those rocks were until I had a good look at the dwellings, they appear so small. A truly beautiful view & captured in excellent style, detail & colour. Those white waves look great & add to this scene.

Hello Tony,

There is a great softness about this shot, possibly due to the sky colour which is much gentler than the normal azure.
Excellent details of the imposing rocks and interesting to note their relationship with the sea.
