He Renier,
lovely summer capture with the glance of the sun on the water and that clear background hill below some clouds. The foreground flowers attract with their good colours. Good horizontal layers and fine usage of the rules of third for that.

Hello Renier,

A good image of the typical lakesides of South NZ. I like the detail of the icemelts on the side of the peak. I have seen those lupins all over the place, there were fantastic fields of them on the road to Milford Sound. I think that the FG is a tad bit dark, but overall good lighting is seen. Nice and sharp also.

Hi Renier,
A wonderful variety in your collections of lupins as they appear the same as our Northern Hemisphere lupines. The big difference is in the magnificent background that they appear against. Very clear sparkling colors and exceptionally sharp details to this lovely summer composition.

Seems like the NZ lupins look pretty much like the Scandinavian ones!
And they love roadside habitat, I have no idea why...
I like the low point of view, and the wonderful feeling of depth over the lake to the mountains in the back!

These lupines are really pretty set against Lake Ohau. We also have a bunch of these flowers growing wild and blooming in the spring time. Most natably pretty in the U.S. are those in TX and NM. Good metering and exposure. Thanks for the retirement page link. Greetings! Danilo

Your country is beautiful. That's one of the first thing which comes to my mind each time I see a picture from NZ. I like this very fresh composition with the Lupins in the foreground. These flowers are very common in my Southern French mountains as well. We even eat the seeds marinated in vinegar!

Gorgeous landscape and photo! The compo is very well done, with those flowers on the FG, the lake and the majestic mountain on the BG, with those picturesque clouds floating above. It's interesting how you got flowers of different colours - if it was a painting, one would suspect that you had cheated the colours just to be nicer.
