It is spring time this part of the world.
I saw this tulip field just outside Christchuch. I couldn't help but stop and take photos because this is the first time I've seen a tulip field in bloom. I'm not sure though if these flowers are for the export or local market.

Bonjour, Renier.
Un magnifique champs de tulipes, bien cadré, mais j'aurais peut-être tendance à couper encore plus le haut...de façon à laisser juste le champ avec ce POV bien bas.
Amitiés, Grazyna.

Hello Renier,

This is a nice image. The rows of tulips create an interesting and colourful pattern. Good details and colour saturation. Thanks Renier.

Roberto

Hi, my friend!
It is very nice and very beautiful view about flowers. I very like your composition. Nice warm colours and good light. Well done.
Marek

Hello Renier,
A pretty composition of this tulip field making excellent use of the furrows as lead-lines. I like the mix of colours which are all well captured. Excellent sharpness.

Hello Renier. Flowers to delight the heart, - even if they stand on a plantage. Your current photo shows a culture landscape with tulips in the month Octobers. To regard beautifully, if in Europe autumn is and approaches the winter. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Hello Renier,
While the scenery must look nice to the eye, IMO there are several issues from a photographic standpoint. Flowers really show off their color in overcast weather. Here the tulips in the front section are washed out with no color left under the harsh light. Concentrating on the more exposure-friendly red ones with a telephoto lens, for instance, would have alleviated this problem to a certain extent. It also appears (possibly undeservedly) as if you stopped and snapped without compositional worries. The pov is too high. Getting down lower and closer to the flowers on the right hand-side would have also reduced the brown areas in-between that do not really contribute to the image. Another suggestion would be to crop the top part with the trees. I like your photography and the unique pictures you bring us. Just wanted to share my honest opinion on this one, which I believe is always more useful than blank compliments. Regards,
Hakan

Hi Renier,
A good POV and excellent lateral light on the tulip field.... the lines of flowers create a strong perspective effect. A colorful carpet this is! Another cropping option was to cut a little bit on the top to keep only the field....
Greetings
Laurent

Nice coloured shot with a good depht of field renier , well seen and done.
Stefano.

Hi Renier,
lovely rows of flowers in different colours. And tulips, just the typical flower from the Netherlands captured on the other side of the world. Good depth.
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

I am enjoying seeing springtime images in our autumn. Very colourful image. I like how you have used the rows of tulips to lead the eye into the frame. I'm just wondering if cropping the top right down to the end of the perspective would make the image even better.

Hi Renier,
well captured shot of a good perspective and great sense of depth thanks to the parallel lines of the tulips leading to the trees in the bg.. Well done! Tfs and best wishes.

Hello Renier,
i like this composition with the lines of the flower beds to create a great depth of field. The colourful tulips make the capture splendid. The light and the shadows that fall on the tulips as the colours are splendid.Well done Renier.

Regards,Danos

Renier, it seems a good place to visit and take photos. But I think in your photo you omit the beuaty of the tulips. The more colors flowers are in the background. I think a photo from the other side to that where you was could be a better view, and problably more colorful.
Hope one day visit a tulip field.
Hugs
andre

Hola Renier,
Por aquí no se ven tulipanes en estas fechas. Bella plantación con variados colores y muy buena profundidad.
Buen trabajo

Hi Renier,
Beautiful presentation of these deep rows of fresh tulips. Excellent sharpness and clear colors with wonderful shadows. The area of New York state I come from was orginally settled by the Dutch and ever first weekend in May the queen of Holland comes for the big tulip festival which I believe are being planted now.

Very good details, POV and colours

Lovely, and a bit different from the ones of the Netherlands, as the varieties of colours are closer to each other...
Colours and sharpnesss are great, so is the POV !

Hi Reneir, good one, with the tulip field well cpatured, full of light and colours.
i thinkk that a good option should be the one to cut out the top side, and took a view of just the field, to have a mor power over the subject.

Hi Renier

I never would have expected to see tulips growing in New Xealand, same as Yunnan in China, was a big surprise to me. I like the itrregular patterns caused by the dip in the bg, & the superb colour & linear perspective. Good sharpness too, & tfs!

Hi Renier,

nice colorful fields... I wish the threes at the topof the photo were not cut, but there are choice to be made, sometimes. But it's still a beautiful one! :)

Cheers,

Loïc

Hello Renier

Like coming right out of the Netherlands Renier- but of course wrong time of the year (up here).
Nice setting of the field, maybe bending down for a lower pov had been even better ..

Hi Renier, it works fantastic, like a colorful carpet. The shadows of the flowers give a nice plus effect.
Sharpness, lightness, depth and colors are excellent.
Best wishes.

Hello Renier,

Maybe you know not that the Netherlands one of the best growers are about the world. Holland one of the most beautiful countries with very great tulip fields, zie my gallery, I'm no Dutchman but a neighbour from Belgium.
I find this picture very well, and pleasant for looking. Thanks for sharing.

Have a nice day,
John.

Hello Renier,

Bonjour Renier,

Joli jeu de lignes, je ne suis pas sûre que j'aurais laissé le haut de l'image, qui coupe un peu ce rythme... (ou alors, un morceau plus grand).
