Photographer’s Note
Haast is part of the South-West New Zealand World Heritage Area. There are seven rivers in our district and everytime the rivers flood they carry a huge amount of debris from the rain forest which eventually ends up on the sea beach.
This picture was taken this morning near the mouth of the Okuru River where a large limb from a Beech tree is imbedded in the sand.

Hi Neroli. It seems so remote, devoid of human impact. Pristine. Great combination of soft colours and gentle light.Nice composition too, with the sharply defined foreground contrasting well against a neutral background. Regards. Klaudio.

Hi Neroli. Up early as seems to be usual for you. Wonderful light and colour. Nicely balanced composition with good foreground to add depth.
Cheers, Paul.
PS Caught you on the telly on Sunday. How was the launch and are you snowed under with lucrative photo offers now? Have a good weekend.
