The goal of the walk was to see a colony of seal on a lonely beach near Fox Glacier, ...

In the Southern part of one of the most southern island in the Southern hemisphere, at the end of an endless old track, we were wet to the bones, frozen, nearly lost in this deep, dark and oppressive forest. Passing by fallen trees, rock slides, furious rivers, ... we would not have been surprised to see some strange creature passing nearby, ... a goblin, a dragon, ...

However the seal colony had already disappeared and the lonely beach was just a lonely, sad and wet beach but the track to go there in this terribly dense forest is still in my mind.
