A picture of the New Zealand Alps.
Taken from the window of a plane, looking down at the snow covered mountains below.
In a situation like this, I am not inclined to use too much zoom, as I feel a macro view of the wide area (eg. probably a couple of square miles below) would be a more worthy picture.
If a plane travels at 800km/h it is only seconds that you have to capture scenes like this when they present themselves.
Dense cloud cover in such a cold environment is also a conern.
The route of the plane was Sydney to Christchurch. Going in winter, in daylight, with a window seat, is recommended!

Looks like dreamscape. I like the pov and the way you have managed to capture it with such llovely hues and textures. great and remarkable work indeed.

Hi Russel,
The different curve lines of the mountains are assets to the composition. The reflection of the light on the snow brings out the colors. The subject is well frame. THe details are clear and sharp. Have a nice day.
