Photographer’s Note
This was taken at Queenstown Pier, usually a very busy place but as it was raining the crowds were all indoors.
A seagul landed on one of the pylons and I was getting in nice and close to get a good shot when I noticed another land on the 2nd so I took a step back and then another landed and so it went until there were six of them. I felt like the pied piper of the pier :-)
No matter what the weather there is always something beautiful and interesting to see in Queenstown.

Hey Jude,
A very amusing photo of all these birds, each of them occupying a pole! This is also a very good picture with a perfect POV and very good perspective and colours. A very beautiful landscape!
Kind regards

Hi Jude, well seen this scene. It is almost of the seaguls are posing for your shot. Realy like the POV with the diagonal line on it and the mountaind at the bg are gorgeus.
Best regards

Hi Jude,
Very nice composition and POV, the diminishing perspective is great. The shot would have worked even without the seagulls but they really add some interest to the capture. Wonderful colours in the wooden piles.
It must have taken you an age to wet down the wharf but it was worth it.
Cheers

Me again ;-)
Ha, i missed this one, and how nice to see proof that even with bad weather you can make nice composed images. For each gull a pole, even they know who comes first in line ;-)
Youa re right, Queenstown is indeed a beautiful city in the way how it is build...
Take care,
Henk
