Photographer’s Note
Another cloudy day, with dampness in the air, as I drove from Wanaka to the West Coast via the Haast Pass. Even though the light was not the best, the scenery of New Zealand's South Island always invites the travelling photographer to stop and shoot. And interestingly, from this height above the lake, I could still make out some monster trout cruising the clear waters below!

Despite the weather Jeff - a constant challenge in NZ this comes out well. Crisp foreground and great depth of field.
cheers

Hello mate,
Brilliant shot, how you got such a great shot with those weather conditions is amazing.
Fantastic landscape old mate, that great looking foreground then the lake going onto the snowcapped mountains is fantastic.
Good stuff.
Enjoy the Sunday roast, or is Tom Cruise coming to dinner.
Cheers mate
Pete

Hi Jeff
This is an awesome view of Lake Wanaka, especially with the greenery in the foreground and the snowy capped peaks in the distance.
The Cabbage Tree on teh lower left is really quite eye-catching too.
Well captured
Janice
