Photographer’s Note

On the road from Wanaka, out to the Mt Aspiring National Park and just past Glendhu Bay, there is a tarn called Diamond Lake, just a short distance from the road. It had poured with rain overnight (not much sleep inside my campervan!), but I was up early anyway, in the hope I might catch a glimpse of the mountains: it was not to be, so I took the walk to Diamond Lake. This shot is looking back into the valley, dotted with sheep and cattle enjoying the lush spring grasses - on the far side of the valley, you may just be able to make out some of the many waterfalls that cascade down the mountain sides after every downpour.
As always, shot in RAW format, cropped and resized for TE.
