Lake Hawea - Haast Pass Photo

Photographer’s Note

Dopo una giornata di pioggia battente ... una gornata di cielo completamente sereno e magicamente luminoso. La strada che collega Queenstown alla west coast attraversa il cosiddetto Haast Pass. Nel tratto in cui cui la strada lascia il lago Hawea e prende a costeggiare il lago Wanaka si trovano queste splendide location ... NOTA: ricordarsi di portare sempre un filtro UV in paesi come questo, altrimenti nelle foto in presenza di sole otterrete risultati in eccesso come in questa foto...

Hi Tura,

Welcome to TE! You've composed this quite nicely and it is a beautiful view. I like that you included a thing band of foliage in the foreground for context with some taller stems reaching up into the mirrored surface of the lake - but keeping the beautiful reflection untouched. The haziness is due to the time of day you took the shot. To give this image the real "wow" factor try taking it early in the morning after sunrise or in the last hour of the day before sunset. You'll find that the whole scene will be transformed by the wonderful warm light.

Good start! Along with your first submission this shows that you have a natural eye for composition. Looking forward to learning more with you.

ma anche in NZ ci sei arrivato in vespa?
La foto è senz'altro buona e il soggetto merita davvero, ma anche tu ti sei accorto che è un po' troppo chiara. Mi pare che il ws di Bobo abbia corretto abbastanza bene questo limite.
Si poteva otttenere lo stesso risultato sottoesponendo di 1/2 o 1/3 di diaframma.
Spero che ne pubblicherai altre della NZ dato che è un posto che ho sempre desiderato visitare. Che impressione ne hai avuto?

Ciao Ale,
ho girato nella tua galleria per vedere dove sei andato a finire ma non ho trovato risposta.
Come al solito mi sono rifugiato in Nuova Zelanda paese che anch'io vorrei visitare.
La foto è semplice ma rivela un gusto innato per le panoramiche e per gli accostamenti di tonalita.

che spettacolo! Bellissimo il riflesso, forse avrebbe giovato un po' più di contrasto. Trovo comunque che il punteggio raggiunto non sia assolutamente all'altezza della foto.
