Photographer’s Note

This photo is taken on the shore of Lake Wanaka from the Wanaka township end of the lake.

Lake Wanaka is the 4th largest lake in New Zealand and is located about a 2 hour easy drive from Queenstown.

Mt Aspiring National Park is in the background and is popular during summer for hiking and mountaineering, and skiing in the winter time.

During the summer months the lake is popular for water skiing and sailing.

I have included a workshop showing a wider view taken from the same location.

A beautiful lake view with beautiful silver, green and blueish colours. Good high horizon to include only the jills and not the sky.

Hello Jude,

I'm still very busy with sorting out my pictures and because i only shoot in raw i have some extra work on the good ones to convert to TIF and finally convert to JPG, but i do follow your work here you made last month. Funny about this one, i think we almost stood on the same spot, although i can't remeber that beautiful nice deep green you have here. When i passed here there was a clear blue sky with hard sunlight, something complete different than you present here and seeing your Milford Sound pictures i can see the struggle you had the the weather and not the best light....what a pity.
But please keep on posting, i'm interested in what you bring up more...
Here there is a glow around the trees but not that disturbing. I like the deep perspective, like the trees are hanging against the mountains. A nice composed image with deep strong colours.

Hi Jude,
beautiful lake view, nice colors and saturation; unusual composition idea not to show sky in the photo works very well here. Very good moment of stripped water surface of the lake-like it.
