Photographer's Note

I am amazed that travel guides and tourist brochures don't suggest traveling up to Coronet Peak in summer. It is big for skiing in winter but it has a decent (if steep and at times narrow) bitumen access road. We did notice some people getting ready to jump off the mountain for a spot of hang gliding.
The views from the top are superb back over Queenstown, The Remarkables (the range on the left)and Lake Wakatipu.
A hand held panorama from 2 photos. I did a large version but when I saw it uploaded I immediately deleted it (overly pixilated) - I'll get these large ones right sometime!
