I'm currently enjoying a couple of weeks on the South Island of NZ. Today we drove through the Kawarau Gorge near Queenstown. The water flowing around these rocks in the middle of the river was quite spectacular. I took the photo at a high speed to capture the detail in the water and besides there wasn't enough safe space to set up my tripod.
Processed on a little netbook so I may have to do more work when I get home.

Un bon choix de format pour mettre en valeur ce torrent qui devient tumutueux au passage des rochers. L'imag est profonde et bien cadrée.
Merci pour le partage et bonne journée.

Hello Ian ,
A superb wild landscape , as I like to discover . The composition is excellent , in this vertical format , especially the two big rocks in the blue water . Fine colors despite of the cloudy weather .

Hi Ian, A truly gorgeous nature photo, the POV up the river was well chosen & I like the white water, I can imagine a person in a canoe coming round the corner, TFS, kind regards Wilson.

Your picture already looks good as it is. Any picture taken of NZ landscape seems to come out tops.
This reminds me of the horse riding and white rafting I did years ago there. TFS

Very good shot, capturing the rapids swirling around the rocks/tiny islands, and at the same time the clouds swirling around the distant peaks. You chose the exposure settings well, and the CPL has helped to keep detail in the sky. Lots of great places to go in NZ; my last trip was 7 years ago, but I'd love to do it again soon.
Those little netbooks are a good idea for the photographer on the move. Good enough for the kind of processing required here.

I do not really like the landscapes, but it was really nice. The colors are totally realistic, the composition is great. Especially beautiful in the foaming water and the gray-blue sky.

This beautiful mountain landscape appears to be in its purest form.
Wonderfully light despite the overcast weather and excellent detail and color.
