Photographer’s Note
We traveled, on what must be one of the last commercially operating steam boats in the world, to a small farm and back to Queenstown again. The lake pictured is Lake Wakatipu. It is in New Zealand's South Island and the small tourist town of Queenstown is built around one end of it. I have been told that Queenstown takes it's drinking water from this lake with very little treatment required. The water is crystal clear and full of ice-melt from the surrounding mountains.
