This is one of the many lakes in the Mount Cook, Lake Teakapo, Lake Pukaki area. The color of the water is due to the fine glacial sediment suspended in the water.
Just in case you are asking yourself if this is a real lake, the answer is yes, as those who have been here can attest. I was just trying to capture the color of the water and have blown the highlights.
I was using a canon point and shoot, so you can imagine this place with a top end lens on a clear day and with the big mountains in the back that are in cloud, karamba!!!

Hi Ashique, A beautiful scene with vibrant colours and magnificent mountains as backdrop. I just leveled it in a workshop. I'm from NZ but live in Australia now, so always like to see NZ photos.. TFS. Murray
