This photo was taken in the Torrent Bay in Abel Tasman National Park. In this bay you find the Anchorage Hut, a hut of the Department of Conservation (DOC), that manages all the national parks and forest parks in New Zealand. The Abel Tasman NP is a really great holiday area, especially for tramping and kayaking. I love the golden sand....and believe me, the colour of the sand is just fantastic....I have never seen such a beautiful yellow....not even in Fiji. The only negativ or sad thing is that in summer the park is overcrowded with tourists and boats and kajaks...but nevertheless it is one of the best parks among Fiordland NP, Paparoa NP and Tongariro NP.
