Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken at the Nelson Lakes National Park, where are two beautiful glacial lakes : lake Rotoiti and lake Rotorua. We woke up quite early in the morning to get a good light along the lake Rotoiti. And then we had breakfast near the lake, even if it was very cold.

Nicely balanced composition Pascal. I like the way you have the pier coming from the left and leading the eye towards the beautiful mountains. The light is lovely, and I like the rather dark and lonely mood. A very good shot - well done.

Sombre and moody but peaceful and welcoming. Love the jetty/pier in the foreground - good POV. Amazing shot!

Classic composition but works every time, i like the blue tones in this shot, and the gentle ripples, great shot!

Hey Pascal, this is one of my favourite places. I posted a couple of pictures of the very same lake, you can probably find them. Good work, I recognised the spot as soon as I saw it.
