Photographer’s Note
The Sun Princess was in Milford Sound at the same time as my cruise. Whilst in the Sound it appeared to be quite small compared to the size of the surrounding mountains.
But here as she exits Milford Sound she appears to be her size, she carries 1,900 passengers and is 14 stories high, the length of 3 football fields, and quite impressive.
She had followed us through Milford Sound and out into the Tasman Sea, our little cruise ship turned around and allowed her to exit before heading back into the Sound for our return trip.
The Sun Princess makes regular cruises around Australia and New Zealand.

Hello Jude ,
Another great picture of this place . The contrats is fine , between the modern boat and the wild nature . I like the moment you've chosen to shot , when the ship appears . Very well composed .
Bravo

Salut Jude
J'aime bien l'insertion de ce bateau dans ce beau paysage..
On se demande ce qu'il fait là..
Si le passage n'est pas trop étroit.
Le lieu à l'air super beau..
Bien vu

It looks so narrow that the ship can berely pass through.
It reminds me some landscapes in Norway. I like the way you isolated the subject with the zoom

Hello Jude,
Another splendid picture of Milford Sound !
Very beautiful how you captured the ship arriving on the picture. I hope two ships will never have to cross each other there. It looks so narrow.
The alternation of rock with and without vegetation is also very nice.
Best regards, Paul

Hello Jude,
I like this shot very much, if for not other reason that I've seen similar scenes so frequently. I give lectures for a 2-4 weeks each year on the Crystal Cruise Line. In any event, here is an image from the cruise when it visited Dubrovnik last summer. But Milford Sound is especially beautiful, the sort of background one expects to see in the Norwegian Fjords. Thanks for sharing the magnificent image with us.
Warm regards and have a good Sunday,
Bulent

Hi Jude,
When I was a kid, bloody long time ago now, I went on a cruise with mum and dad on the Oriana, we also went into Milford Sound, your capture brings back the memories like it was yesterday.
A spectacular capture, timing on the ship coming out of the Sound is perfect. A very good example of the scale of the mountains.
Great stuff.
Cheers
Peter

Hi Jude,
I missed some jewels of your gallery..this view is amazing, the contrast between machine and pure nature is thrilling here.
Compliments, Chris
