This photo was taken in Twizel near the site of the famous 'Pelennor Fields Battle' in the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. The canal joins the main canal flowing from Lake Pukaki.

a fine shot here with the double the dose of the magestic snowy peak thanks to the reflection in the river... i like how the river curves into your composition and the silvery light. i feel though you could have gone more symmetric here, by cropping a bit off the bottom.
