Photographer’s Note
Here you can see the shore of lake Tekapo in Canterbury. It was an evening when I took this photo. Lake Tekapo is a highland lake at 710 metres and is surrounded by golden tussock grass and in the southern part close to the settlement of Lake Tekapo surrounded by many stones as you can see here on the photo. In this region there are many walking opportunities. One of the best is a walk to the top of Mount John where you can have stunning views over the whole region especially to the southerrn alps.
