WOW! What a dramatic picture! The warm colors and the rays of sun really work well together. The trees on the right side seem to bend in (almost like it's barrel distortion, but I don't think so). Anyway, they bend in in such a way that it accents the sunburst, as if the sun is pushing the trees away. Excellent shot! What camera did you use for this? That's some dynamic range you have there! I don't think my Coolpix 990 could ever take a picture like that!

A very impressive and beautiful picture. It might be more beautiful without the compression (visible on the track). But this doesn't take off qualities to your picture.

Great lights. You expect a unicorn around the bend. It really looks magical. The exposure is perfect, which must be a tour de force with such contrasts.

this is soo beautiful.. dramatic lighting. i really like your title-it suits it to the T. GOLD is what comes to my mind when i look at it.. i don't know why-i guess its the rays of the sun that bring the golden glow!!! truly beautiful

A welldone job Nina. Please do write some note as how hard was it to capture the moment, was it done all of a sudden or you had been chasing the scene since long , so and so..!
Anyways, it's very very good shot.not everyone knows about Gold hidden inside woods. One that tries, gets it too. very deserving.!!
