Photographer’s Note
We have had some intense sunny hot days in the last couple of weeks. The light being very harsh, one had to take a different sort of picture. The shadows being intensly contrasted to the white pavers in my terrace, I paid more attention to them and realised how the abstract patterns they formed were interesting and more prevalent than the objects that generated them in the first place. Here, the only physical item is a chair, but it's presence is mainly indicated by its shadow.

Very graphic, beautiful, Thomas. The abstract patterns created here are really beautiful, are they clothes on a line maybe? But that is not the point, i mean what it is. To me what the point here, as you are saying too, is that the objects are defined MORE by their shadows than by "themselves", which can give rise to a more philosophical inquiry.
Great graphic work!

Thomas,
It certainly is a particularly groovy constellation of shadows!! ;)
The very high contrast works for this image, I think, as does the minimal use of what you've called "physical items".
Nice.

Colin
