Photographer's Note

As I mentioned before, the walls adjoining empty blocks of land are often brightened up with murals that try to distract the eye from ugly "wounds" left by the earthquake or that try to lift the people's spirit as the city reconstructs and redefines itself.

YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD TOWN DOWN and that is a feeling that is strongly picked up as one walks along the streets of Christchurch.
