Photographer’s Note

Golden Bay is a short walk from the main settlement of Oban on Stewart Island. Depending on the weather the island is very peaceful with glorious water and rainforest view. For some people the biggest challenge is just getting there on the small ferry across the often wild Foveaux Strait. "I survived Foveaux Strait" T-shirts are very popular.
