Photographer’s Note
Rarotonga is the most populous island in a group of islands known as the Cook Islands, with about 9,500 residents. The Cook Islands' Parliament buildings, as well as the international airport, are located on the island. Because it is the most populous island, Cook Islanders may be referred to as Rarotongan, but they may in fact come from one of the other 15 islands in the group, such as Aitutaki or Mangaia.
The island's chief town, Avarua, is also the administrative center for the Cook Islands.
Rarotonga Island stands 14750 feet (4500 meters) above the ocean floor. The island is 20 miles (32 km) in circumference. At a depth of 13000 feet (4000 meters), the volcano is nearly 31 miles (50 km) in diameter. The highest peak on the island above sea level is 2140 feet (658 meters).
The island is surrounded by a lagoon, which extends several hundred yards (meters) to the reef, which then slopes steeply to deep water. Agricultural terraces, flats, and swamps surround the central mountain area.

The previous version of the photo had a small size, and the quality wasn't good. That's why I decided to repost it.

It looks impressive with its colors. Composition is also very good but skyline should be straight. The photo seems skew because of this. This is just what I think, but again, I want to say that the scenery is very nice, and that's why TFS with us.

ditto ebruardil about the horizon being crooked. also, it was oversharpened. the halo around the trees it what gives the oversharpening away. great colors. if you can, go back to the original and resharpen. also, straighten the horizon and you could even make the colors pop a little bit more.

Hello Henryk,
A very colorful image with well placed subjects. Depth is either off just a small amount or the scan is not as sharp as it could have been. I like the bright colors in the background and the dark subjects in the foreground. It makes for an impact shot that draws your eye into the scene very easily.
Excellent image...

Witaj Henryku !
£adnie pomy¶lane i zrobione. Ciekawe kolory.
