Photographer’s Note
"Space, the final frontier.
These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise, its five year mission to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life, and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before..."
Btw, i never loved Star Trek, and when i was child i watched only few episodes of the first series, but for that shot i think that the Star Trek entroducing was a good thing.
...i was between lieutenet Uhura and Doc Spock during my exploration of the South Sea Space....the Enterprise 747 NZA flew in the deep space between the Cook Planet to the Tahiti Planet, Commandant Kirk was drunk as everyday and was playing a poker with Scotty, Sulu and Chekov.
We forgot Doctor Bones at the pub of the Spacedrom of Auckalnd. He was drinking his 9th Martini and lost the Enterprise 747...
----------------------------------------------------------------
...it's Monday morning...a week of work...i'm tired...there is the clasical Milan weather (cold, very cold, more humidity than in Congo and a wonderful fog)...
I took that image from the plane Rarotonga-Faaa (Tahiti). Sunrise.
Higher than the sun!

Hi Paolo,
This is a very interesting image you present here! And I think you got the right feelling on your Star Trek notes. The shot is in an original composition (usually, this kind of sunrise shots are presented in panoramic formats...) and works well with th dark foreground and strong blue in the up. Nice colour, layers and light.
Thank you for sharing,
Ciao,
Ricardo

Hi Paolo,
I really like those colors and patterns of light. It really looks like you are above the sun. You chose some original note for this photo. The near dark area is a bit too big for my taste.
Cheers,
Alon

Niente musica oggi?...mi sarei "sentito" volentieri "Wish list" dei Pearl Jam su questa foto.. evocativa a dir poco, splendidi i raggi di sole che tagliano le nuvolone, rompendo la linearità dell'orizzonte giallo...
gran lavoro...COMPLIMENTI!!!
buona settimana, Fabio.

Paolo -
A superb image. My experience is that pictures taken from an airplane generally do not work but this one DOES! My only comment would be the lower half is a bit to dark. The Star Trek analogy also works. Well Done!
Thanks for sharing

ciao, Giorgio

Ciao Paolo,
I just love the text of this photo. I was not a fan of the original series but the ones that came after that and some of the movies I did enjoy. Very funny senario, you should write comedy!
Great colorful photo. Makes me dream of flying.
Have a good week - Paul

I'm a day late seeing this and am surprised at the coincidence we both used imagination to write our notes yesterday.
The colours are stunning and I like the little lonely star. Maybe I would have cropped some of the dark area from the bottom, but a fine image nonethe less.

Kia Orana Captain Paolo,
Ha ha LOL reading the note, and a good way to use the time spent flying, you caught just the right moment as the early sun rays begin to spread over the landscape. The lower part is very dark but seems to me it is a forest and hilly landscape, given the location probably I'm wrong ?
Buona giornata,
Jean-Yves

Hi Paolo, this is a rare view- clouds beneath and space over us, and you were still able to show the third element- the rising sun..this is really great! You can sense the heavens at work, or , if you wish, space explorers' world...I liked Star Trek, so the title and the note appeal to me all the more:-)
greetings
Aleksandra
