Photographer's Note

A feeding frenzy of shy mollymawks in Fovaeux Strait off Stewart Island. These birds are actually small albatross - still quite large. We were fishing for blue cod and these birds, up to about 30 of them came around. As the fish were caught they were filleted & the remains thrown to the birds. You can see the birds in the centre has the remains of a fish in its beak.
